Two important local transport developments will be taking place during the next six months.

The first is the closure, for redevelopment, of the much-criticised Quadrant Bus Station which is being scheduled during 2009. The rebuilding will give Swansea a new, state of the art bus interchange which will certainly improve travelling conditions for everyone who uses our services.

The second event, in the spring of 2009 will be the introduction of Swansea ftrMetro. The impressive ftr vehicles will eventually run every 12 minutes between Morriston and Singleton Hospitals, taking in along their line of route important destinations such as the Liberty Stadium, Rail Station and Civic Centre and making use of the new Landore Expressway to speed up journey times to and from the City Centre.
