First is introducing another 16 brand new state-of-the-art buses in Bristol as part of our £20 investment in the Greater Bristol Bus Network.

The double decker vehicles are designed with passenger comfort in mind and will make bus travel easier for wheelchair users and people with pushchairs as they all have low floor easy access.

The buses are being used on services 48 and 49 which run between Bristol City Centre and Emerson Green.

All of the new buses have:

  • Low floors
  • Improved and more comfortable seating with a designated wheelchair/buggy space providing customers with a better travelling environment
  • The most up-to-date Euro 5 engines to reduce harmful carbon emissions
  • Digital CCTV for improved customer security and safety

And new buses for Bridgwater coming soon....


4 brand-new buses are due to start operation in early July for Service 1 in Bridgwater - part of our joint commitment with Somerset County Council to improving the quality and accessibility of local bus services throughout the region.
